A very small town, High Ridge gives way to a rural, peaceful life suited for the small families that populate the neighborhood.

A post office called High Ridge has been in operation since 1856. The community was so named on account of its lofty elevation.

Route 30 runs through High Ridge, which crosses over Interstate 55 and connects to 44. Surrounding neighborhoods include Fenton, Eureka, and Valley Park.

Residents spend a lot of time in nature, doing recreational activities and having wildlife encounters. High Ridge shares the fruits of its neighborhood, literally, known for its fruit trees and harvest sold throughout St. Louis.

High Ridge residents appreciate a good round of golf at 18-hole championship Sugar Creek Golf Course, which stretches 6,000 yards, as well as, Paradise Valley Golf and Country Club a few miles away.  The Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic allows neighbors to uniquely connect with wildlife, and for a different outdoor adventure, there is Six Flags St. Louis in nearby town of  Eureka.

High Ridge is part of the Northwest R-1 School District. There are six schools in the area, all of which are highly rated.

Route 66 State Park | Just 11 miles northwest of High Ridge, this park features picnic facilities and four biking, hiking, and horseback riding trails.

Castlewood State Park | The park’s eight trails cater to a combination of hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders. The various trails cut across streams, creeks and fern-covered hills, and alongside the Meramec River. The park also features picnic facilities, fishing opportunities and boat ramps.
